Makenzie McCarthy is a recent graduate of The University of Hawaii at Manoa where she majored in English, Creative Writing. Through that journey, she found a passion for illustration and elementary education. She hopes that her books can help educate children on different social issues while also creating a welcoming environment for children from diverse backgrounds. When she is not writing or drawing she is playing with her cat Sirius, catching up on the newest season of Love Island and pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education.
